What better way to spend a Sunday evening than watching the excellent British five-piece Voodoo Six, as they rocked the Queens Hall in Nuneaton? I was covering this one for Birmingham Live again, and the review is here. This was actually the first time I'd got to see Voodoo Six - up until now it looked like they would end up one of those bands that I was destined to never see live. Thankfully, this time I was there, and it was totally worth it. While I liked their album, on stage they are so much more powerful, due in no small part to their two excellent guitarists - Chris Jones and Matt Pearce.
However, the main attraction is vocalist Henry Rundell - not only because of his awesome voice, but also due to his half-painted face. A great frontman, and a captivating performer on stage.
And here's some of the best shots of the rest of the band:
Despite the fact that they're a relatively 'new' band, Voodoo Six already have a dedicated following, as the next few pictures will show. There's some who partake in some face-painting worship, some who you may recognise from the silver screen, and others who just plain love the music that the band makes.
All in all, a great show and some great images to remember it by. Check them out if you get the chance, because if you like rock then you won't regret it.
